Hey Fitfamily! Our last month was a bit stressful with working on a sailing boat and that’s why we could not post a lot here on our weblog.
We’ve been travelling for 37 hours (haha yeah a looong stop in Moscow) to beautiful Split, where our trip started without any luggage 😀 Aeroflot lost it somehow and that’s why our first visit in Croatia was a small shopping center to buy at least some swimwear until our luggage arrives.
Croatia is our only destination in Europe we will visit on our trip and this is because of two reasons:
- We were working as skipper and trainers on a sailing boat for Suntours – our future partner in some great projects –> stay tuned 😀
- We met our family and friends here <3
At first we went to Skradin, learned how to serve the perfect octopus salad and how to prepare delicious fried squid and then we met Boris (from Mayer Yachtchatering) for checking all the things to hand over our boat to Krvavica, where our job as skipper and trainers for a big sailing event called “Turnon” started.
We did some challenging boat workouts, sailed through good and bad weather conditions and started every day with a morning Yoga session on the boat or in a harbor.
And while our sailing trip we found the perfect new partner: We are really happy to be part of the Greenersport Athletes team from now on. We’ll write a separate article on this new online shop that sells sportswear produced in sustainable manner.
Here you can find some impressions of our amazing and challenging three weeks that made us ready for a holiday after holiday 😀 – thank you to all the people from Suntours who make this experience so special every year and thank you to all our great people from boat #11 😀 You know why it was great 😉
Recommendations for best food and beautiful villages:
Next year Suntours will start some great new projects related to sailing and sports and a healthy lifestyle, but we will tell you about that separately 😉
After these amazing three weeks it was family tiiiiiiiime. We had an awesome time in Dicmo at a villa with private pool where morning workouts, healthy cooking sessions and evening runs made our days. We enjoyed playing water ball games – okay everyone except Bina and her Mom enjoyed it – coz the pool water was too deep for them… they could not reach the floor with their toes haha – too small –> no watergames 😀
We spent 4 amazing days there and spontaneously we got a great offer from Suntours, the company we worked for and chartered beautiful “Spring”, a 45 Sun Odyssey Sailing Yacht that was perfect for our trip 😀 – time for a 4 days family sailing turn, some challenges for Bina’s Mom and some beautiful sunset Yoga sessions together with our family. Mom and Dad fell in love with their huge sleeping cabin in the front and Manu and Meli found their favorite place chilling in the cockpit shadow of the Bimini.
For anyone who would like to charter good in shape sailing yachts: Suntours is the perfect partner for you. They offer great boats for reasonable prices and they and their partners from Mayer d.o.o. help you out with any problem that might appear.
And there’s one thing that we ran out of and our family supplied us with: ENERGY CAKES 😀
We are now ready for the next steps of our journey 😀
The last 4 days we spent in Skradin and Trogir with Boris, who is not just the owner of the charter basis in Skradin anymore – he become a friend 😀 We really wanna say thank you for all the nice places you showed us and for just helping us out with every little problem that appeared.
Here we have one special recommendation for dinner, we come here every year and really LOVE the food and the atmosphere:
- Restaurant MORE I PRESTACI
In Trogir Boris helped us to find a beautiful room (even though it’s high season and normally everything is fully booked) and we really want to mention this place because we fell in love with the cozy room and the amazing food in this place.
These nice family run restaurant offers bed and breakfast with 3 really nice rooms and it serves the best food we had in whole Croatia
We can especially recommend the tuna tartar, the octopus salad and all the fish dishes. They really prepare their food like a five star restaurant in Austria and it’s definitely worth a visit!
You can find them on www.restaurant-vanjaka.com – just enjoy Dalmatia here 😉
We really loved our stay in Croatia, but now we are ready to head on to Tanzania 😀 watch out for some nice beach workouts from Zanzibar 😀
