Skradin – a little paradise

Skradin – a little paradise

Hey¬†Fitfam ūüôā

As you already know from our last post, our week at turnon ended much too quick but we had to start our way back to Skradin on Saturday by bus, where our car was waiting for us.

Boris, the owner of the boat company picked us up at the main street and dropped us out at our cars parking place. After a short coffe break we started our way back home via a narrow trail. We drove abour 100 meters as we got frightened by a strange noise. A tyre blow-out -.-

Luckily we did not drive high speeded and the leasing company of Bina’s company car tried to get help as soon as possible. “as soon as possible” in a croatioan way coz we had to wait for a new tyre till Monday haha.

Bina’s car named Herr W√ľrmlinger was towed by a really ¬†cooperative company and so we started looking for a hotel and tried to make the best out our the situation. We chose¬†small guest house “Zura”, where we had a beautiful room with air con. The owners also ¬†adivsed us very well about how to explore skradin without having a car haha.

The first evening there was an important to watch EM game, to we had to find a location for dinner that transmitts soccer games. We quickly found a nice restaurant directly at the pier. The food was awesome and quite cheap and we also can highly recommend the wine of the house. A little drunk after having 3 glasses of it we went back to our hotel and fell asleep happily.

Next morning we had breakfast at the beautiful pier and upon recommendation of our hostess, we started our trip to Krka waterfalls on foot. A 6 km walk through croatioas awesome landscapes. For 150 Kuna you’re allowed to visit the national park and as you can see in the pics blow- it’s woth every cent oft it (especially when you definately need some cooling after the long walk in the heat)

We spent the whole day at the national park and came back tho Skradin’s pier by the last boat (which is free for tourists by the way) After having a quick shower, we¬†hungrily¬†hurried to Konoba Evala, which we noticed the day before. Our waiter Pero, who somehow knows how to speak every language, advised us well and he’s one of the friendliest waiters we’ve ever met. Food and drinks were also perfect here. ideally, we would love to try a different dish from here every day. Sad that we already had to go home the next day. ūüôĀ

Monday morning we recieved a call from Ivan (the guy from our car repairing company), directly after waking up. He told us that we can get ur car from Sivenic¬†at 1 pm. As we told him that there’s no possibility for us to get there without having our gar, he just went baxk the whole way to Skradin to bring the car back to us. What a service! And above all: He did that for free! We can really highly recommend that company to EVERYONE. As he took his leave, he spent us some icecream and all we want to say is: THANK YOU IVAN, for helping us! Hopefully there are more people like you in this world.

Also big thanks to Skradin itself and all the nice people around for the hosting and your help. We definately come back and everyone who hasn’t been there yet: Definately stop there on your trip, it’s really worth it!!
