Paraty – a pretty little town

We started our Trip to Paraty from Ilha Grande with Easy Transfer by boat, and then we took a Van to our Hotel close to the City. We stayed in Paraty for 2 nights and we were really sad that we could not enjoy Casa Luz a little longer coz this place was so beautiful. We came there and were friendly welcomed by the owners, who showed us around, told us a bit about the story of this house and prepared an amazing dinner and really tasty Kombucha for us.

The next day we were a bit unlucky with the weather and so we just did a short morning SUP session and decided to visit the city center of Paraty. For us this was… a bit disappointing because the streets were just empty, most of the restaurants were closed because of the wind and so we only spent 3 hours there to find out what is so special about this place.

We can sum it up in two words: White houses with colorful windows and doors 😀 No just joking, its a nice city but we would recommend to visit it when the weather is nice.

But although it was good that we went there coz we found:

  • a shop where we can buy a Brazilian simcard
  • a really cheap tripod for our camera
  • cinnamon toothpaste that Bina really looooves, Martin accepts it too haha – but this is definitely the best thing we found 😉

When we came back in the evening, we had an amazing dinner at our hotel and enjoyed the rainy evening with a fresh coconut at the terrace with that beautiful view.

We were really sad that we had to leave the next day but at 12.30 the Easy transfer van was waiting for us and we started our travel back to Rio airport to fly to Salvador 🙂
