Morro de Sao Paulo

Morro de Sao Paulo

Hey guys 🙂 From Salvador we traveled on to Morro de Sao Paulo, an island with beautiful long beaches, nice restaurants and perfect places to find inner peace.
We decided to stay at the 4th beach, because this one should be quieter that the 2nd and 3rd and it’s a nice place to start some beach walks to other destinations. We found an amazing place called Pousada Vila Marraro, where we spent our next 5 nights.
Oh by the way… don’t think we’re confused… they really call their beaches 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th beach… it’s not because we can’t remember their names and give them numbers haha
The first day when we arrived after a long transfer by boat, van and again boat, we just chilled at the pool and had an amazing moqueca at our hotel’s restaurant.
The next days we started with an early morning run or beach workout before breakfast and spent the rest of our day with exploring Morro.
Here are some must do’s:
• Take an evening beach walk to the village (between 2nd and 1st beach) – you can either to do this when it’s high or low tide… high tide is more adventurous but take care of your steps, you can’t see the floor in the water 😉
• Explore the beach when it’s low tide – it’s amazing how far the water goes away and leaves the boats on dry sand
• Take an early morning walk to one of the beaches around the 4th beach
• Watch the sunset from Portalo, one of the best sunset bars we’ve ever been to – and it offers an amaaaazing seafood plater <3
In the evenings we loved to walk around in the village, enjoy a nice dinner and find some new bikinis or boardshorts. Especially Bina fell in love with Brazil’s huuuuuge variety of swimwear, and it’s really cheap in comparison to Austria’s prices.
We loved the time we had on this beautiful island but we made some plans to go to Chapada Diamantina next. Challenging hiking trips are waiting for us… so we had to move on.
