From Isla Mujeres we went on to Isla Holbox but the first days we were really unlucky with the weather. It was cold so we did lots of sports to warm ourselves up and Martin forced Bina to do some beachruns with him – she was sooooo happy about that – NOOOT 😀 When the weather got really bad we had our amazing shelter in Hotel Zomay the first 3 nights – a Cabana with beachview so that we could enjoy the ocean, without getting cold and wet from the rain 🙂
We visited a lot of great restaurants here but we have three special recommendations for you:
- El Limoncito – this one serves the best mexican Motlenos eggs and quite cheap breakfast at the whole Island
- Ceviceria – It’s a small place a bit behind the main square, that serves the best cevice we had so far – not too spicy, combined with cucumbers it’s just an explosion of flavor.
- Taco Queto – it’s the best option to find a quick and cheap lunch or dinner. The guacamoles, as well as the different types of tacos and quesadillas were delicious.
After our 3 days bad luck with the weather, the sun showed up and we moved on two blocks to beautiful Holbox dream hotel. We just loved it, especially the towel elephant they made for us and the amazing shower, where the water came out of a beautiful shell.
Here we spent two more nights enjoying the sun and doing a lot of beach yoga in front of the great beachclub of Hotel Holbox dream and then we moved on to Tulum 😀
