From the bad weather in Isla Holbox, we moved on to Tulum – hoping that the weather gets better, coz we booked an amazing beach yoga hotel here.
Maya Tulum Resort offers healthy food and drinks the whole day, yoga lessions in the morning and evening and 3 beaches with an amazing view. We just fell in love with this place when we first entered the building and got a big welcoming smile from everyone. The yoga lessions and the food were perfect and one of the best things was that the weather was good here 😀
We were a bit sad that we only stayed here for two nights, but we have to admit that we did not come out of our resort for one second – so time to move on and explore Tulum.
We checked in at Biwa Tulum for 2 more nights, got ourselves bikes (They are really cheap and retro in Biwa Hotel) and explored the beautiful Maya ruins of Tulum. Okay… they are beautiful and you have to visit them – but there are more beautiful ones in Mexico – just in case you have more time to visit them 🙂
We spent one amazing day at Tata Tulum Beachclub, where we actually had a great celebration day because someone of the hotel just got engaged (NO OBI – NOT US ;))
We can definitely recommend this place because it offers amazing food and drinks and we just loved the fresh prepared guacamole and how they serve Mezcal 😀
Sadly the next day we had to leave Tulum after a Morning Yoga session and a great breakfast at the rooftop terrace and went on to Cozumel.
All in all we have to say: Tulum is not as touristy as everyone said! There are a lot of tourists, but it’s still a relaxed place where you can find peaceful areas with just a few people.
